4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud storage, AI processing, authentication, and push delivery) strictly for operating the application. When you connect external accounts (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Google services), data is processed according to those platforms' policies as well.

Community posts, ride requests, and driver verification details are visible to community moderators and administrators as needed for moderation and safety.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit) and role-based access controls to protect your data. Row-level security limits access to your personal data to you and authorized administrators. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5a. Sensitive Documents

Driver verification documents (license, OR/CR) are treated as sensitive. Access is limited to you and community administrators. AI document review is advisory and does not store biometric data. Documents may be retained for the duration of your verification status and audit requirements.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage your memories, conversation history, media projects, and community content within the app settings. To request full data deletion, contact us through the app.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Deleted conversations, memories, media projects, and community posts are removed from our active systems. Driver verification documents are retained while your verification status is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for audit purposes. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period for security and recovery.

Mona is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.
